The Cancer Help Line, through the Cancer Council South Australia, offers information, advice and support to all South Australians. A further programme now works in conjunction with the Help Line - Cancer Connect. This was set up by the Cancer Council South Australia after consultation and advice from medical professionals. The programme offers a cancer patient and his family an opportunity to talk with someone who has had a similar experience - peer support. ie Linking people through their experience of cancer.
The aim of the volunteers is to give hope and encouragement, practical information and referral to appropriate sources for further information.
Information and support can be obtained through the Cancer Help Line at the Cancer Council South Australia on 13 11 20
Call the Cancer Help Line and you will be connected to a trained volunteer who has had a similar experience to you.
