Our Activities 

 

Currently, our principal activity is in conducting a series of "Awareness Evenings" in centres around South Australia. In these meetings, we attempt to provide information to men, and their partners/carers, about the disease, by having a guest Urologist speak about prostate cancer. On the same programme, we also have two of our members speak about their prostate cancer experience usually one man who has had surgery (radical prostatectomy), and one man who has had radiotherapy treatment. Another speaker provides information on life after these treatments, with emphasis on continence and sexual function.

The evening is completed with a panel of the speakers who respond to questions from the audience. Each of these awareness evenings have been well attended.
