About Us
Our objectives
To provide and encourage effective opportunities for members of the local community to participate in a range of cultural, social, educational, active, passive, structured and non-structured, and other activities in and from the Association.
To facilitate local community participation and initiatives at all levels of planning and management of Association activities.
To provide an atmosphere where race, gender, disability, income, age, employment status, religion or philosophical view do not prejudice a person's eligibility for the use of the Association's facilities, programs and services.
To provide facilities in which members of the local community are encouraged to devise and develop various forms of recreation, leisure, education, information, advocacy and support services.
To foster a sense of belonging to a caring local community in which members are accepting and supporting of each other, thus, endeavouring to provide opportunities for the development of family life.
To enable and provide activities of a benevolent nature without discrimination, including support, practical assistance and relief for those people in the local community who are economically, socially and culturally disadvantaged.
To do all such other things as may be incidental to attainment of such objectives.
Membership
Members shall be persons who have:
- agreed to accept the above objectives, paid the prescribed membership fee, if any.
- applied in writing for membership.
- been accepted as members by the majority of the Committee or of a General Meeting.
