SEPTEMBER 2004 NEWSLETTER

Meeting held at Noarlunga Community Hospital

On Wednesday September 1^st from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

We did not have a Guest Speaker tonight so had an informal around the table chat about where

we went to School and where we are at right now with our Prostate Cancer.

SURVEY

A survey was taken to decide whether we would move our meetings to the new Christies Beach

Surf Lifesaving Club, or stay where we are.

Our next meeting is at the new club and this will give our members the opportunity to see it for themselves and then make a decision.

INFORMATION TABLE

Some members have offered to help out on the Information Table at Colonnades on Saturday September 18^th and this will be very much appreciated. If you are able to spare even half an hour on Saturday, please come along and support us. We will be on the upper floor near Watchworks.

QUIZ NIGHT

Saturday September 18^th is also the date of the Quiz Night at the Port Noarlunga Christies Beach

RSL Sub Branch, which is on the Esplanade just up from the Port Noarlunga Jetty.

Prizes are still being donated and thanks to everyone who has already donated something to help swell the prize pool.

Some people will bring a prize with them on the night, so please come along and if possible bring some friends, and help make this night a huge success for our Group.

AWARENESS MEETING

We should know very soon what the date is going to be for the Awareness Meeting and I will let you know as soon as this has been arranged.

If it is late October or early November we would not need to have the normal Support Group Meeting on Wednesday the 3^rd of November.

MAID OF THE MIST NIAGARA FALLS

THERE`S MAGIC IN THE MIST

The postie has just delivered a postcard from David and Anne Leonard who had been sightseeing at Niagara Falls.

They said that Toronto and Niagara Falls were the Jewel in the Crown so far, let’s hope that they continue to enjoy what must surely be a wonderful experience.
