Our club has been in operation for over 50 years. It was originally run by volunteers who shared the Millicent Youth
Centre with several other sporting clubs, so equipment had to be set up and put away every night. When the second
adjoining hall was built, the gym was partly permanent. In 1995 the Millicent Kindergym Club and the Millicent Gymnastics
Club combined. In the same year, Sam Fensom was appointed as Head Coach and gymnasts fees were
introduced. In 1996 the gym became permanently set up and the club began to purchase major equipment which
would not have to be put away after training.

Our club is run by a committee of parents and coaches. We are affiliated with Gymnastics SA and Gymnastics Australia. All gymnasts are affiliated with our state body by paying a membership to our club. We have 2 major fundraisers every year, namely the Millicent Invitational Competition in April and the Millicent Annual Concert in October. |
