Friends for Older People

Community Visitors are volunteers who visit an isolated resident in a residential aged care facility on a one to one basis, at least once a fortnight.

To be a Volunteers in the program need to:

	Have a genuine empathy and understanding for residents in aged care facilities
	Be a good listener
	Have some time to regularly visit

Residents in facilities differ in their interests and backgrounds.

We therefore encourage all people to apply to join this unique program.
