Anzac DayAUSTRALIA DAY - On 26th January of each year the Blyth community gathers at Padnaindi Reserve to celebrate this occasion. The Wakefield Regional Council supplies the meat and those attending bring along salads and yummy desserts. BYO chairs and drinks.

ANZAC DAY - Numbers attending continue to grow each year at the short service organised by Blyth Progress Association. WRC Councillor for our ward lays a wreath as well as those of the community who may have lost a loved one in any war. A morning tea is held at Padnaindi Reserve after the service.

KESAB TIDY TOWNS - An opportunity for the Blyth townspeople to tidy their gardens and surrounds. KESAB Judge awards a plant and voucher to 3 special gardens which are donated by Wakefield Regional Council. The local community also gets into the spirit of KESAB by collecting litter on roadsides throughout the year.

COMMUNITY TREE PLANTING DAY - Commenced in 1990. The locals and visitors spend the day or afternoon planting trees to green the plains. The group has planted many roadsides in the district, rejuvenated scrubs and planted trees along creeks and old railway corridors. Mid afternoon cuppa and a piece of cake is appreciated and after the hard day of tree planting a free BBQ supplied by the Blyth Progress Association is enjoyed by all.
