TREASURERS REPORT
AHURANI CLUBHOUSE
AGM JULY 2ND 2004 We
have been successful in gaining all but two grants applied for.
We gained money from MHAG (Mental Health Advisory Group) which meets
monthly in Port Augusta. This funding was for ongoing costs, continuing
the shed project and pergola. More funding is needed to complete
the shed project.
Since
incorporation we applied for and received funding through the Volunteer
Small Grants Program. With this grant we purchased a new photocopier.
We
are currently working with Lyn Breuer on gaining DHS (Department
of Human Services) funding for ongoing costs to keep Ahurani Clubhouse
running.
The
cost for our Public Liability Insurance had gone up to $1002.67
for the next financial year. We have gained renewal on our Elders
policy.
We
are continuing to look for relevant grants to support ourselves
for at least the next 12 months. This is challenging because although
we fit criteria on some grants the process and supporting documents
are not always available.
We
have not had any fund raising activities this year as there is a
general apathy from attendees in getting motivated to achieve. This
has been disappointing as financial resources are limited.
We
have stayed within our allocated funding and have little room for
error in purchases or debt payment.
We
believe this will be a great year for gaining more much needed funds
for 2004/2005.
Our
grant account currently has a balance of $2990.97 and there is $455.13
in our general account.
