Report 2004 CHAIRPERSONS REPORT AHURANI CLUBHOUSE AGM JULY 2ND 2004 Ahurani Clubhouse became incorporated in July 2003. This signalled a big change in the organisation. The main change was no longer being under the umbrella of Whyalla Hospital and Health Services. In October 2003 we signed a memorandum of understanding between ourselves and Whyalla Hospital and Health Services. This allowed us to still access support and training from them. In 2003 we created a Board of Governance to oversee aspects of clubhouse issues as well as having our management team meetings to focus on daily issues. We have become stronger leaders through this process. Ahurani is still going strong even though numbers have been low in recent months. Factors influencing this have included people gaining employment, people entering study and others have created new social networks and moved on. |
