Friends of the Waite Arboretum - Volunteers - Volunteering
Friends of the Waite Arboretum has a keen group of volunteers who work in the rose gardens, the gardens around Urrbrae House, in the Garden of Discovery and in many sections of the Waite Arboretum on Tuesday mornings at 9.15am - 11am - 1pm with morning tea at 11am. Feel free to come along and visit and share a morning tea with the volunteers.
Some Friends of the Waite Arboretum are Arboretum Guides take the public on tours of the Arboretum on the first Sunday of each month and on additional walks on special occasions.

Friends can participate in:
- Contributing to quarterly newsletters
- Data collection
- Gardening, planting, weeding, watering, pruning
- Helping with mail outs
- Maintenance of garden seats, preparation of flyers, brochures and self-guided walks
- Propagation of native grasses
- Publicity and promotion
- Staff exhibitions
- Taking guided walks
- And many other interesting tasks.
