The Rules
The Port Broughton Annual Rubber Duck Race will be held on the Port Broughton Foreshore. Little yellow plastic ducks race to the shore as a major fundraiser for the club. The Duck Race is an inexpensive fun event with lasting family memories for the community, visitors and families to enjoy.
Purchase a rubber duck for $3 which is allocated a number. Ducks can be purchased months ahead before the race and you don't need to be present on the day. Then the ducks are set off on the tide and race to the finish line. There are 10 prizes for the first 10 ducks over the finish line. You get to keep your duck after the race.
There are free games on the foreshore for adults and kids- duck & spoon race, duck on head race etc everyone receives a prize, fashion parade ducks where you dress up a plastic duck, $1 sausage sizzle and come and see the big duck sculptures.
