Title: The Friends of Old Government House

Working in the gardens

The Friends of Old Government House are an active group of volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds with a common interest in preserving Old Government House and its gardens. Members can be either Rostered or Associate members as detailed below.

The group enjoys a varied and much enjoyed social programme which all members are welcome to participate in. One of the most popular activities on the social programme is the Christmas Brunch.

Rostered Members (membership fee of $15 per annum) are those assisting with any of the following rosters:

Regular Roster: Showing visitors over the complex on the first Sunday of each month and public Holidays. On average rostered on once every 6-8 weeks.

Garden Group: Meets the third Saturday of every month for light gardening.

Guided Tours: Occasional help on weekday tours.

Associate Membership (membership fee of $20 per annum) is available for people unavailable for rosters, but keen to give support in other ways.

The Annual General Meeting is held in March each year.

If you would like to join the Friends of Old Government House please contact us.
