Borrowing from the Toy Library

You must be a member to borrow from the Toy Library.

How to join?

Becoming a member of the toy library is very easy to do. Just come in to the toy library during opening hours with fees payment (cash or eftpos) and photo identification displaying current address. You can save time by downloading the Member Registration Form here and filling it in before you arrive.

Why join?

Joining a toy library has lots of benefits. You save money by borrowing rather than buying toys. You get to meet other families in your local area. Your children get to try out lots of different toys including educational games and puzzles. You are helping the environment by reducing landfill of redundant toys. You are introducing your child to the concept of borrowing and caring for items.

Who can join?

Anyone who has children or cares for children. You can be a parent, a grandparent, an uncle or aunt, a family day care provider, a playgroup, etc.....Each membership is treated as either a family membership or a group membership. This means that either parent or grandparent can borrow for the one membership fee.

Group membership: $50 per year

Borrowing limits family membership:

You may borrow:

Generally, the borrowing period is 4 weeks but always check your due-date slip. Toys can be returned earlier. However, if you wish to keep them for a longer period, you will need to phone or email for an extension.

It is essential that all toys are transported in a bag when borrowing and returning in order to prevent pieces of toys being lost. Please keep all toys in bags until you return home to prevent parts from being lost.

Get more involved in the Toy Library

Are you interested in helping with:

The Tea Tree Gully Toy Library is managed by a voluntary management committee, elected annually at our AGM in September. We always welcome new committee members and have a number of short and long term projects and positions available. You don't need any particular experience to be a valuable committee member, just a willingness to participate and take an interest in the future direction of the TTG Toy Library. Working on the Committee is both rewarding and enjoyable, and offers all members a chance to have input to how the TTG Toy Library operates.

All committee meetings are open to members and you are most welcome to join us.

If you are interested in joining the committee and would like more details, please contact us.
