The Camp Ground in Port Parham

Camp Ground

There is free camping available at the designated camping area, about 1 Km north of the main entry into Port Parham. Facilities include mains water (not recommended for drinking), toilets, electric barbeques and a shelter. Please check out the community noticeboard on site. Come and enjoy a drink or meal with us at the club.

There is no dump point on site, and the nearest is at the Lions Park in Dublin, 10 Km away on Highway 1.

From time to time access to the beach is restricted due to activities at the adjacent Defence Experimentation Range. Notices of closures appear on the notice board, and Defence Personel are on hand to police the restrictions. Be prepared for the BIG BANGS of munitions testing!

Fishing

Go Crabbing in the shallow waters of the gulf between September and April
Fishing by wading at high tide for Sand Whiting, Salmon Trout, and Mullet in season
Fishing from boats for a wide range of fish and crabs at any time(note that boat launching in the shallow gulf is not a simple matter, hence the Parham Jinker)
