Anstey Hill Recreation Park is a 362-hectare network of trails, creeks, gullies and historic ruins.

The park provides excellent opportunities for bushwalking, mountain biking, birdwatching, photography, painting and flora enthusiasts, with historical site and scenic views over the Adelaide Plains.


Gate 1 -The Silver Mine (40 mins return) - pleasant walk commencing with heritage buildings, Rumps Bakehouse and Ellis Cottage. (Gate 1 located cnr North East and Perseverance Roads.)

Gate 6 - Water Gully Walk to Newmans Nursery Ruins (40 mins return)- slight incline (Gate 6 located Southern end Perseverance Road opp Janlyn Rd Vista/TTG.)

Gate 9 & south-west corner of park- Geological Hike inc many taking in Kloppers Quarry with superb views of Adelaide. Gate 9 located bottom of Anstey's Hill on LowerNE Rd just past Perseverance intersection.

Gate 18 - Lookout Walk (20 mins return) - easy walk takes you to a vantage point where you can lookout across the Adelaide Plains and Gulf of St Vincent (Gate 18 located on Range Road South, through the gate to car park.)
