The NTA Learning Centre in Bada, Aceh                              The children of Aceh have returned to school but there are genuine long term needs to reconstruct their lives and create enhanced opportunities for their future. NTA Inc considers that through improved education and development the children can be assisted to lead productive and satisfying lives. As initial reports have shown, this is the greatest need where NTA Inc can provide assistance is in regard to children. The hundreds of thousands of homeless children and orphans need a future and it’s hoped that the children of Aceh can improve childen's lives and their standard of living in the community through formal and informal education.   To provide value in addressing this long term need NTA Inc has established the “Yayasan NTA Learning Centre”  in Bada, Aceh, which is planned to provide children with numerous value added activities, potentiall including computer training, english language tuition, vocational learning, library and cultural/religious education. Depending on local needs other activities could include sports, social/cultural studies, trauma counseling, assistance with after-school employment, business incubator for items made at the centre and health and hygiene awareness classes.   NTA Inc's first priority project of the learning centre has been the development of a Scholarship Program for the children.  This program will facilitate Australians and Indonesians in Australia to sponsor identified children to assist them with their schooling and every-day living needs.  This includes school tuition, school uniforms, stationery and other living needs like food, clothing and the like. In July 2005  NTA Inc President, Roswita Nimpuno Khaiyath, and the NTA Inc Treasurer, Tony Hewett, visited the Learning Centre and assisted during the launch on the centre.
