Future New Courses

There are a number Possible New Courses on the Notice Board.
We are looking for Group Leaders for:
  Elementary Mathematics
  French for Beginners
  Mosaics

Knitting Group

We are still seeking interest in the proposed a Knitting Group, offered by Laura. This will be run as a social interaction group where students can make new friends whilst improving their knitting skills. Non knitters who wish to learn are welcome. The day and time will be dependent upon the wishes of the class and leader, and room availability.



Computer Classes at King's Baptist School

Computer Classes at King's Baptist School will continue during Term 1 with Don and Mike.



Walking Group No2

The new Walking Group commenced their activities in August, led by Gay Wesbroom, assisted by Moira Saywell. They meet on Weeks 2 and 4, alternating with Pauline's group. Contact Gay for information.



Practical Dowsing and Earth Energies

Keith will commence his new course on Practical Dowsing and Earth Energies in Term 1, Wednesdays at 1.30, weeks 2 and 4. This course will run for 5 sessions, and is aimed at “open-minded” people who appreciate Life’s Forces.



Other Table Games

A number of students have expressed an interest in Table Games other than Mah Jong, Bridge and Chess. Dorothy has offered to lead a class in other games, such as Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Cluedo and, indeed, any games that students wish to play (as long as they are legal!). A Prospective New Course list has been posted, and students are invited to enter their names. Dorothy can be contacted through the office.



Computer Craft

Vicki will resume her Computer Craft sessions on Tuesday mornings in Room 8/9. Those students who were enrolled for Term 2 are automatically included on the attendance sheet. New students should phone Vicki on 8260 2043 to check for vacancies.



Ornithology

Burt will finish his weekly Ornithology sessions at the end of Term 3. The class will continue in Term 4 as a fortnightly Bird Watching Group, on weeks 2 & 4, commencing 22 October. Students should assemble in Room 4 for details of the morning's activities, which will, of course, be dependent upon weather conditions. Students who are currently enrolled will have automatic entry into the new group. Other interested students should phone Burt for details.



Ancient Egypt

Trevor's Ancient Egypt classes will be repeated again in Terms 1 and 2 next year.
A notice will be placed on the board next month for expressions of interest. New enrolments will be necessary (see details of 2010 enrolment in the main body of this Conveyor).
Details of the course will be shown on the notice board near the entrance to Room 5. Class numbers are limited, so interested students should ensure that they take advantage of our new Early Enrolment procedure.
