Crabbing

Crabbing is probably the activity for which Thompson Beach is best known. It has long been a favourite crabbing site for people in South Australia given its close proximity to Adelaide. The old tradition is that crabbing is best done in months which contain an R but it is also better crabbing during the warmer weather as the water can be quite cold.
