The Skate City Roller Skating Club has been running for 13 years beginning in Gawler in 1989.

Formally known as the Gawler Roller Skating Club and skating at the Gawler Recreation Centre a strong history of competitive Artistic, Speed and Hockey Roller Skating was built throughout the Gawler region with many National Champions being bred from within the club.

Due to a decrease in sports participation, particularly in the Gawler area, in early 2001 the club was expanded to reach the wider community, and moved to the St.Clair Recreation Centre at Woodville, making skating accessible to all in the community.

The club currently specialises in the competitive sport of Artistic Roller Skating and now the newly formed sport of Inline Artistic Skating.  Classes and lessons are held weekly at the St.Clair Recreation Centre .
