SAWAN - South Australian Workplace Assessors Network

The newly created SAWAN charter is to provide a networking platform for sharing knowledge in the field of Vocational Education and Training (VET) for workplace assessors.

SAWAN is a voluntary network and will exist as long as members contribute and support its growth through information sharing and networking via our website www.sawan.org.au

SAWAN also organises occasional networking and professional development sessions by drawing on the resources of members to meet the needs of members.

  • Keep you up to date and involved with issues impacting on your role as an assessor/trainer.
  • Encourage the development of professional practice within the assessor community.
  • Promote social contact and goodwill amongst members.

SAWAN supports

  • The professional development of all workplace assessors by providing opportunities for learning through sharing
  • The national training framework by highlighting the values of innovation, communication and sharing within the vocational training system in Australia.

SAWAN facilitates

  • a central place of meeting (our website) for the exchange of members’ views of and the promotion of discussion, understanding and co-operation between those engaged in the industry.
