About Us

Formed as the Australian Lebanese Women's Organisation in 1992 and renamed South Australian Lebanese Women's Association (SALWA) in 1995. The membership has grown to service a large number of people from Arabic speaking backgrounds with a vision that the work will continue to expand to give access and equity to all.

We collaboratively work with members of our expanding communities, government and non-government organisations who support our vision.

Our services are provided by a professional welfare worker as well as by trained and skilled volunteers.

The work is enhanced by the dissmination of the quarterly SALWA newsletter reaching an increasing number of individuals well into the 21st century.

Help us help you

We strive to continue improving our services. To assist us in achieving this goal we would welcome and suggestions, comments and / or complaints.

If you have any idea or suggestion to develop a specific project and / or to improve our services please contact the worker or the chairperson of SALWA through telephone, fax, post or e-mail.

If you are not satisfied with the service you received please tell the worker who will try to resolve the problem with you.

If you are still not satisfied, you can contact SALWA by writing:
