MT GAMBIER Finally the federation went to Mt Gambier to play a friendly Raffa bocce tournament on Saturday 22nd needless to say Mt Gambier won that one. Sunday 23rd November we all participated and played the "Zema Winery" Cup Competition and proudly Adelaide won that won by the Ranieri Trio, Giovanni, Antonietta & Franca, who are also part o the Fogolar Furlan Group that the Federation runs on fortnightly basis . Congratulations well done team. Thanks to all the Zema Family for their hospitality and to the Italo Australian Club bocce welcoming committee and hospitality especially to Frank Capriotti, Grazia Letizia and the President of the Club John Zaccardo.

Finally held on Sunday 22/6/08. Due to problems beyond our control venue had to be changed to Campania Club instead of Fogolar Furlan Club. The competition was well attended. Mixed doubles were played. Winners took out Perpetual trophy and prize money for 1st, 2nd 3rd & 4th.

A special thank you to Dorothea Zanchetta for presenting perpetual trophy and prize money to the winners on behalf of her brother Mr Tony Mauriello who could not attend. Thank you again Dorothea and husband Joe.

Senior National Championships

Male/Female

Held in Queensland Long weekend 6th to 9th June 2008 at Redlands Club and was successful. Organization, Venue, food, no complaints including the weather, thank you Queensland hope we can do the same next year.

Congratulations to Raffaele Zollo & Rodolfo Mancini for second place in the doubles discipline, to Rodolfo Mancini, Erminio Ranaldo, & Gennaro Galasso for 3rd position in the triples and to Erminio Ranaldo who tried hard to retain his previous year second placing in the precision throw, unfortunately in the first instance a tied second place with N.S.W but ultimately he came 3rd on percentage by two points. Well-done team!

Women will have to try harder next year, in South Australian home ground.

Kennedy & Co Was held at Fogolar Furlan on Friday 8th February 2008 Winners of the Doubles were; Domenico Crisci & Chris Bates from Kennedy & Co, Runner ups Anthony Bavaro & Deidre from Kennedy & Co.
