The Indonesian community in Adelaide held a vigil for the tsunami victims and the people of
Aceh and North Sumatra, sponsored by the Flinders University Asia Centre.

Those participating included Muslim groups (MIIAS, IRISA), the Indonesian Student’s
Association of SA (PPIA), Christian groups (KKI, Perkrindas, Gereja Bethany),
Indonesian community radio,
cultural associations (Adelindo, Rindang), the Balinese community group, the Australian
Indonesian Association of SA (AIA_SA), the Indonesian Teacher’s Association (INTAN),

While the vigil focussed on the horrendous events in North Sumatra, it embraced
