About Us
The Mylor Parklands Bushcare Group was formed following a community meeting in November 1994. We are a group of local residents and friends who meet regularly to do bushcare work with the support of the Adelaide Hills Council.
Specifically we implement the Reserve Management Plan for the Mylor Parklands, hold working bees to remove weeds in the native bush areas of the Mylor Parklands and Camp Gooden Reserve such as the Broom, Gorse, Erica, Watsonia and Monadenia weeds.
Where Are We?
The Mylor Parklands and Camp Gooden Reserve border the small village of Mylor which is located in the Mount Lofty Ranges near the city of Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. Mylor is 30 minutes drive from Adelaide. You can view a copy of the Parkland's Boundary Map here.What We Do
In General we aim to: raise public awareness of the parkland's status, promote bushcare in the community, liaise with local community and friends groups, respond to council queries concerning community needs in the parklands, liaise with the council on the management of the parklands particularly weed control, slashing, fire hazard reduction and environmental policy development as well as work with the Mylor Primary School children to encourage bushcare awareness.Specifically we implement the Reserve Management Plan for the Mylor Parklands, hold working bees to remove weeds in the native bush areas of the Mylor Parklands and Camp Gooden Reserve such as the Broom, Gorse, Erica, Watsonia and Monadenia weeds.
