WHY
LEARN MACEDONIAN LANGUAGE & CULTURE?
The
benefits of studying Macedonian:
o Being
a bi-lingual person
o Employment (doctor, lawyer, social work, translator, journalist,
property agent, teacher)
o Maintain the language and the culture
o Cognitive development of children brain (better results
in schooling, logical development, understanding the culture
and the language)
o Migration, travel and effective communication with other
people
o Improving English literacy
o Schooling and further education
If we
neglect the Macedonian language:
Impact
on individual level
o
Less chances for children to develop their brain cognitively
o Inability to communicate with person from Macedonian background
o Losing its own identity and assimilation (the value of "diversity"
no longer exists)
Impact
on community level
o Macedonian
language and culture would be lost in the Australian multilingual
society
o Discontinue of maintaining the Macedonian Community of Adelaide
& SA because the younger generation will be assimilated
