The Western Districts Brigade covers the Western End of Kangaroo Island. The Brigade is equipped with 3 vehicles specifically designed for firefighting.

Our membership consists of  106 members all being CFS trained at various levels ranging from Level 1 classification through to Officers A & B class.

The Western Districts Brigade covers the largest land mass on Kangaroo Island. The land mass area consists of 1/2 being National Parks with the balance being Forestry, Tourism, General Farming & Cropping properties.

Well known tourist attractions located in this area are: Flinders Chase National Park, Kelly Hill Caves, Admirals Arch, Remarkable Rocks, Cape du Couedic, Rocky River & Western River Wilderness Protection Area.

The Western Districts Brigade provides crews specifically trained in providing "Air Bomber Support" during campaign wildfires.
