Parndana 24P is equipped as a Road Crash Rescue vehicle and works closely and efficiently with all emergency services. In 2001 Parndana Brigade commenced a Cadet program with current membership of 12 very interested youths who train once a fortnight on a Friday afternoon. Senior training is generally conducted on a Sunday morning followed by appliance, equipment maintenance & radio testing. The Brigade acts as a vehicle accident, rural & urban fire Brigade. The Parndana Brigade is located in the central township of Parndana attending incidents in the central and west end of Kangaroo Island. The Parndana Station is used as a Group Base for campaign fires, which occur in the central and western area of Kangaroo Island. Our membership consists of 79 members who are CFS trained at various levels ranging from Level 1 classification through to Officers A & B class. Our Community relies heavily on volunteer services and as such, is highly recognized throughout the Kangaroo Island community.
