Welcome to the Friends of the Murray Bridge Public Library. Annual Fees are set at the AGM each year in August. All financial members are invited to attend General meetings, the dates of which will be circulated following the AGM. General meetings are held 4 times a year at 10am. A Guest speaker is arranged for meetings if available, except at the AGM.
Fundraising activities throughout each year include the following -
- Mini Book Sale Day - 12 - 4 pm on the first Tuesday of each month.
- Monster Street Book Sale Days - April, August and November.
- Garden Party - third Friday in October.
- Library book bags sold through the Library.
- Proceeds from Tea/Coffee by other groups.
- Two raffles conducted at Easter and at the Garden Party.
Funds raised from all the above provide equipment and amenities to improve the services for everyone.

Diary Dates for 2010 : -
General meetings are conducted in the Library Meeting room 10 am on the following days -
*Wednesday March 17th
*Wednesday June 16th
*Wednesday August 4th {also AGM}
*Wednesday December 10th {Christmas meeting with venue to be announced.}
Committee Meetings are conducted in the Library Meeting room 3:30 pm on the following days -

*Wednesday October 14th

Fundraising Activities for 2010 : -
- Mini Book Sales.
- Monster Street Book Sale Days - on the corner of Bridge and Seventh Streets, 10 - 4 pm.
April 16th, August 13th and 12th November.
Members will be rostered to take shifts of 1 - 2 hours to share the load.
- Annual Spring Garden Party - Friday October 15th, 2010 from 10 - 12 noon in the John Dohler Hall, Lutheran Church, Swanport Rd.
Tickets will be via invitation only.
Members to distribute. The musical interlude will be provided by the "Bridgettes".
This has proved to be an excellent medium to showcase the talents of the performers over the pasy five (5) years.
Each year a “Best Spring Hat" is encouraged. This is optional and non-competitive. There were 103 guests at the 2009 Garden Party. Proceeds from this event were $750 for the day.
