Innes National Park Address C.M.B Stenhouse Bay SA 5575
:: Friends of Innes >> Current Projects.
:: The Call of the Western Whipbird
(Innes National Park was proclaimed a park because of the Western Whipbird, now a threatened species).
The group will record the calls of where they are in the park.
:: Biological Control of the Bridal Creeper
The group has been busy putting up tunnel houses to propagate plants and breed the leafhopper, a rust which damages
the bridal creeper as Innes National Park has a big problem with bridal creeper choking native vegetation.
:: Weeding
We are often doing the weeding around buildings we have restored such as Inneston P.O and the Engineers garage.
:: Dune Stabilization
Just recently the C.V.A, a volunteer group, helped by planting 10,000 native plants at Browns Beach.
This work will be continued on at Penguin Point, Marion Bay.
