1. COMMUNITY XMAS PARTY 5pm SATURDAY (Dec 6): ALL LOCALS INVITED

(also a chance to thank Green Corps for its work)

_________________________________________________________________

All locals are invited to attend this year's Aldgate Valley Community Christmas Party, which will be held at the Aldgate Valley Community Hall.

WHEN: Saturday, 6 December, 2003 (from 5pm)

WHERE: Aldgate Valley Community Hall (former CWA Hall), Nation Ridge Road

A group of residents has been holding community Christmas parties at the Community Hall for quite a few years now. All local residents are welcome - it's a great chance to meet and mingle with the community. The Green Corps team which has been working on the 'Valley of the Bandicoots' project for the past six months will be at the Christmas party, so this is also your chance to say thanks to them personally: Lachlan Reid, Chantelle Piller, Saskia Goodhew, Lee Maxwell, Michael Blight, Phil Grace & Jessica Zimmerman (& Peter Spinks, the Supervisor).

Please bring - a plate of food to share (& drinks etc) - a present (wrapped & named) for each child you bring (maximum value $2)

There is a strong rumour that Santa will arrive on a motor bike during the party.

Activities this year may include volley ball on the old tennis courts.

Alison Saunders, Ed Douglas, Mark Fagan and David Mussared had a very productive meeting with Jerry Smith from the Onkaparinga Catchment Board at the Aldgate Valley Reserve site on Monday, December 1 (following an earlier inspection by Caroline Crawford), which has given us some new insights into how we should be managing the Reserve.
